Rebuilding Aubay UK's Website

Overview

As a freelance project, I delivered a full-stack web application to Aubay UK, a branch of Aubay Group, which is publicly traded on the Euronext Paris stock exchange. The project involved replacing their previous WordPress site with a custom-built CMS, designed to enhance performance, SEO, and user experience while integrating seamlessly with their ATS and other third-party services.

Given Aubay's corporate structure, security was a major focus, and the platform successfully passed a penetration test before launch.

Key Achievements

  • 3x increase in application rates
  • 2x boost in user engagement
  • Significantly improved performance, SEO, and UX
  • Successfully passed a penetration test, meeting strict security requirements

Tech Stack

  • Framework: Next.js
  • Database: MongoDB
  • Auth: Auth0
  • Integrations: ATS system, third-party APIs

UX & SEO Enhancements

A key part of the rebuild was improving how job descriptions were displayed. The new CMS provided a structured, clear, and user-friendly experience, making it easier for candidates to find relevant job opportunities.

Additionally, the platform dynamically generated sitemaps and implemented Google Jobs schema, ensuring job postings were indexed correctly and ranked higher in search results. These optimizations played a major role in the 3x increase in application rates.

Collaboration & Execution

I worked closely with a the project manager to align the platform with business and user needs. By building from scratch, we eliminated WordPress's limitations, optimized for speed, and delivered a tailored solution that empowered Aubay UK with better control over their content and data.
